| Interviews
Hello, again, gentle reader, and welcome to my interviews page. I hope this section of the site is not only entertaining, but also, educational and informative.
As I hope you can tell from the rest of this site, I am a person who thinks outside the box; so I'm naturally attracted to other people who color outside the lines and challenge the status quo in their various fields. In doing so, I hope they challenge you to think outside the box as well, and I hope they provide inspiration for you to sing your own song and march to the beat of a different drummer so you can be the person God has called you to be.
I plan to make this a periodic feature, so stay tuned, and please feel free
to contact me with any comments or suggestions.
Blessings,
Coach Andre
INTERVIEW ONE (Dec '08)
Before I introduce our first guest, let me preface this interview segment by sharing a little personal information.
Growing up as a blind child, I was fascinated by radio. While other kids sat around and watched TV, I sat around and listened to the radio. In fact, I became a kind of radio nerd; I would call up DJ's during their shifts and talk to them about the industry. I spent most of my childhood in Rockford, a town about two hours northwest of Chicago, and initially got hooked on WLS, Chicago's top 40 AM powerhouse. But my tastes expanded to include album-oriented and Progressive rock formats. Listening became easier when my family moved to a Chicago suburb in 1985.
As my bio indicates, my personal interest in radio became my primary professional pursuit.
Our guest is radio industry veteran Sky Daniels.
